History
History and other information about Bike to Brown.
In July 2004, Don Rogers, a Systems Administrator in Sociology, started a simple e-mail list at Brown University for the mutual support and benefit of Brown bike commuters. Since the very first day, one of the most enthusiastic members has been Mark Dieterich, a fellow Systems Administrator in Computer Science. Mark and Don continue to steer the ship as Co-Founders, but Bike to Brown is truly a group endeavor, where everybody shares their knowledge and experience for everyone else’s benefit. We have many valued contributing members who have spent a great many years on their bikes, and there’s always somebody offering a helping hand when you need one.
